“Intipalka” means “Valley of the Sun” in quechua, a language spoken since the Empire of the Incas. It refers to the valley where wine come from, the valley of Ica, known from old times for its exceptional climate and soil for agriculture.
The vineyards located at the edge of the Andes, at 500 m.a.s.l. and over 60 km from the coast, have a desertic climate, with a wide thermal range and loam and deep soil, rich in magnesium.
Technical irrigation and harvest by hand. Riego technificado y cosecha manual. Vinification is performed at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks and the wine is age in French and American oak barrels.
