Cellier des Princes

Le Cellier Des Princes takes its name from the prestigious history of the Princes of Orange.

One of them, William 1st, known as “the Taciturn”, because of his taciturn character, well illustrates the character of the winegrowers of CELLIER DES PRINCES.

Men for whom action counts more than words, winegrowers who wrote the history of CELLIER DES PRINCES.

In 1925, a group of winegrowers convinced by the values of solidarity and mutual aid united. Eleven years later, these visionary winegrowers will participate in the construction of the 1st appellation in France: CHÂTEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE.

In the 1960s, the second generation of CELLIER DES PRINCES winegrowers anticipated the leisure society and the development of wine tourism to install the CELLIER DES PRINCES tasting cellar on the edge of the RN7.

The exceptional quality of the CELLIER DES PRINCES terroirs gives the wines of CHÂTEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE, but also of CÔTES-DU-RHÔNE, rare qualities which are appreciated at prices well beyond market prices. Business is good.

The winegrowers will produce and sell their own bottles directly under the CELLIER DES PRINCES brand.

In less than 10 years, sales of CELLIER DES PRINCES bottles have increased sixfold, reaching 96% of total production.

Close-knit as in the beginning, the winegrowers of CELLIER DES PRINCES are today proud to have their wines appreciated on five continents and to be able to transmit their values of conviviality and excellence.
