Don Mannarone

Mannara is the Sicilian word for "breeding" or "farm" and also a common surname in southern Italy. The people who live here in Sicily still feel very connected to their land. Many of them have professions that show this connection: in addition to traditional craftsmen and shepherds, there are also people who grow wine and follow the tradition of their ancestors. Tradition and closeness to nature are values that the winemakers of Mannara always keep in mind when creating their products.

Today Mannara belongs to MGM Mondo del Vino, an association founded in 1991 by oenologists and wine experts Alfeo Martini, Roger Gabb and Cristoph Mack.

Their goal is to bring to the market wines rich in tradition that meet the needs of consumers. The winery and production facility of MGM Mondo del Vino are located in Priocca, a small village in the heart of Piedmont. With a team of 14 oenologists and biologists, MGM is at the disposal of its associated winegrowers throughout the year and can therefore draw on excellent grapes for the production of its wines every year.
